5th May 2018
Sweaty bodies packed into pubs like proverbial sardines, free-flowing beer and the sight of crowds walking briskly between venues to discover their new favourite band can only mean that Live at Leeds is back! As some 15,000 music lovers pour into the city to see the UK’s best emerging talent play alongside established rockers and returning music royalty.
And with said established rockers Circa Waves, Peace, Ash, The Horrors, Pulled Apart by Horses and Spring King leading the line-up for 2018, the festival season is set to begin with an almighty bang! But it’s also worth noting that Live at Leeds has in the past welcomed Stormzy, Ed Sheeran, Blossoms, The 1975 and Loyle Carner before they hit the big time. So be sure to check out the likes of Pale Waves, Tom Walker, Lewis Capaldi and Sam Fender - who will be flying the flag for the future of UK music, this May!
26th May – 28th May 2018
Think carnival, with people parading through the streets to the backdrop of sunshine, beer and melodious music. Then add mosh pits, head banging and riff-tastic alternative rock, pop punk and metal - and you can begin to imagine what a weekend at Slam Dunk is like.
Now into its 12th year, Slam Dunk has firmly established itself as a Leeds festival favourite, rising from small backstreet bars to the heights and bright lights of venues like Millennium Square, First Direct Arena and the O2 Academy. Which, will this year be graced by revered rockers like Good Charlotte, PVRIS, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes and Twin Atlantic. Accompanied by a much anticipated appearance from Jimmy Eat World as the band celebrate their 25th anniversary, who will also be joined by Long Island counterparts and returning Leeds favourites Taking Back Sunday, after also headlining Slam Dunk back in 2013 and 2015!
